Delmer (Del) Roth of RR1 Listowel, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy battle with cancer on Friday December 6, 2013 at the age of 72. Del was a member of Listowel Evangelical Missionary Church. His favourite pastime was spending time at the lake fishing. Beloved husband of Nelda whom he married in 1961. Loving father of Cindy and Cliff Elliott, Dan and Elaine Roth all of Listowel, Laurie and Paul Brink of RR1 Listowel and Darcy Roth and partner Missy of Stratford. Cherished papa of Chris and Jon Frey, Carolyn and Stephen Marles, Andy and Sarah Elliott, Kelsey Roth, Kyle and Caleigh Roth, Tanya and Luke Slotegraaf, Amanda and Aaron Foell, Tyler Roth, Ryan Roth, Jaime Roth, Brady Roth. Missed by his great-grandchildren Emma, Leah, Mac, Braya, Kole, Khloe, Myles, Kaighlynn, Bryce, Jaxon, Zander, Zachary, Riley and Noah. Dear brother of Gladys and Reinhardt Ohnsorge of Stratford, Dorothy and Howard Burkholder of Edmonton, Barb and Dwight Wratchford of Pennsylvania, Mervin and Marjorie Roth of New Hamburg, Doug Roth of Hickson, Richard and Diane Roth of Bright. Fondly remembered by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Shirley and Herb Wagler of Tavistock, Mayne and Brenda Roth of Fordwich, Ervin and Marie Roth of Harriston, Ed and Wanda Roth of Gorrie, Dianne Rellinger of Listowel and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Christian and Pricilla (Kropf) Roth, parents-in-law Almon and Annie Mae Roth, brother Laverne Roth, sister-in-law Diane Roth, brothers-in-law Bill Knoblauch and Alex Henry. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories at Listowel Evangelical Missionary Church, 1205 Tremaine Ave. South, Listowel, on Sunday December 8 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service to celebrate Del's life will be held on Monday December 9, 2013 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Wood officiating. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
