Cornelius Albrecht

August 30, 1943 to May 19, 2010

Cornelius Albrecht passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Wednesday May 19, 2010 at the age of 66. He resided in Listowel and was formerly of Newton. Cornelius was a member of Crossroads Community Church, Harriston. He was a hard worker with a great love of horses and camping, but his first love was family especially his grandchildren. Beloved husband of Esther (Jantzi) Albrecht whom he married in 1964. Loving father of Edna and Andy Kuepfer of RR1 Clifford, Darlene and Seranus Kuepfer of Milverton, Ray and Lori Albrecht of Atwood, Diane and David Streicher of Gorrie. Special grandpa of Jerome and Velma, Joshua and Kathy, Julia, Joanna, Scott, Stacey, Jessica, Shane and Shannon, Delicia, Deandra, Dawnelle and great grandpa of Kody. Dear brother of David and Mary Albrecht of RR1 Milverton, Catherine and Levi Streicher of RR4 Harriston and brother-in-law of Magdelena Albrecht, Sarah Albrecht both of Newton, Elizabeth and John Gerber of Milverton, Catherine and Jake Streicher of RR1 Clifford, Allan and Laureen Kuepfer of RR1 Milverton, Solomon and Peggy Jantzi of RR1 Newton, Eva Streicher of Millbank, Gid and Mary Jantzi of Poole, Erma and Mahlon Schmidt of RR1 Newton. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Solomon and Bena (Zehr) Albrecht, great granddaughter Leah, brothers Henry, Jonas, Tobias, sister-in-law Laura Kuepfer and brother-in-law David Streicher. Cornelius' family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home 141 John Street, Atwood, on Saturday May 22, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Sunday May 23, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood will take place on Monday May 24, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. followed by the memorial service at Crossroads Community Church, 99 Young Street West, Harriston at 11:00 a.m. Pastor John Finochio will officiate.
