of RR2 Atwood, passed away peacefully with family at her side, at Stratford General Hospital on Sunday August 24, 2025 at the age of 83.

 

Bev’s loves included caring for God’s creation through her gardening and she could always be found sharing resources with others. She had a heart for service and living out her faith as she enjoyed volunteering with many organizations including children’s programs and thrift store.

           

Beloved wife of the late Alex Nichol (2012) whom she married in 1963.  Loving mother of Pauline and Peter Howard, Nancy and Bert Vorstenbosch, Glenn and Jennie Nichol, Donna and Stephen Mitchell and Ross and Melanie Koch Nichol.  Special grandma of Nicole, Jacob, Zac, Elysha, Jude, Alyssa, Natalie, Brianna, Dayna, Austin, Connor (Toni), Tyler, Kaedyn, Liam (Eve), Brock and Aria. Dear sister of Ron (the late Christine) Hyde and the late Audrey Horne and Thelma Hiuser. Survived by her brothers and sisters in law Arthur Horne, John Hiuser, Isabel (the late Harry) Kozicki, Grace (the late Ed) Rothwell, Marion (Roy) McKay. Fondly remembered by many nieces & nephews.

Predeceased by her parents Melvin and Jean Hyde, sisters in law Marilyn (Archie) Morris and Margaret Nichol.

Bev’s family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Listowel Evangelical Missionary Church, on Wednesday August 27, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday August 28, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Listowel Evangelical Missionary Church. Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
