Aletha Struthers

March 19, 1928 to January 27, 2012

Aletha Struthers of Mitchell, passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Friday January 27, 2012 at the age of 83. Aletha was a member of Atwood Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Donegal Women's Institute. She loved to bake, cook, knit and quilt and will be remembered for her tidiness and hospitality to all. Beloved wife of the late Percy Struthers who predeceased her in 1994. Loving mother of Grace Struthers of London, Don and Ann of Mississauga, Brian of Mitchell, Bonnie and Leroy Skinner of RR1 Mitchell. Special grandma of Tom, Aaron and Karen Skinner. Dear sister of Helen McLean of Seaforth and Jean Dewar of Atwood. Fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Delphine Dewar of Atwood and many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her parents Elgin and Ina (McKay) Dewar, her brothers Jim Dewar, John Dewar and his wife Margaret and brother-in-law Edison McLean. Aletha's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Sunday January 29th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday January 30th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Andrew Thompson officiating.
