Aileen Gillis

May 4, 1924 - May 26, 2023

Formerly of Newry, passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus on Friday May 26, 2023 at the age of 99.

Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Gillis. Loving mother of Su Gillis and Nancy (Mark) Chambers. Cherished grandmother of Melanie (Jeremy) Thompson and Jessica (Bob Smith) Chambers. She will be lovingly remembered by her great grandchildren Joshua and Leah Thompson. Predeceased by her brothers Elwood (Margaret) Danbrook and Grant (Pat) Danbrook.

Funeral services will be held at Atwood Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023 at 11 AM. Following the Interment at Donegal Cemetery, refreshments will be served back at the Presbyterian church. Memorial Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff of Groves Memorial Community Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion.
