August 3, 1921 to November 4, 2008

Margaret passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Tuesday November 4, 2008. She resided in Listowel and was born 87 years ago in Elma Township, a daughter of the late John and Jane (Cleland) Pretswell.

Beloved wife of the late Archie B. Smith who predeceased her in 2005. Loving mother of Jane and Charlie Thibideau of Lion's Head, Katy and Terry Parsons of Ingersoll, Bruce and Karen Smith of Atwood. Special grandma of Steven Thibideau, Patti & Terry Allen, Thomas Parsons, Bryan Parsons, Derek & Laura Smith, Shelley Smith and great-grandma of David Bowman, Michelle Bowman, Jeremy Allen, Stephanie Allen, Owen Smith and Emelia Smith. Also remembered by many nieces & nephews.

She was the last surviving member of her family being predeceased by her siblings Winnie in infancy, Martha and Reuben Berlett, Jean and John Chapman, Jessie and Royden Vickers, Gord and Donna Pretswell and by her brother-in-law Oliver Smith and sisters-in-law Edith Smith and Beryl Smith.

Margaret's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home 141 John Street, Atwood, (519-356-2382) on Thursday November 6, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Atwood Presbyterian Church on Friday November 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Hogerwaard officiating. Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
